A family that plays together, sometimes has to sing and dance.

So it is the 50th Anniversay of our stake, and some how, we got talked into all being in this play they planned to celebrate it. Originally, I signed Haley up for it. We all know that Haley loves to be in the spot light, but it tured out that they wanted whole families. So we were all in it, including little Greg. Unfortunatly, I was in it the most, because they needed women for the dance part. Let's just say that I do not like the spot light, and I was not meant to sing and dance with a broom, but after all was said and done, we all had fun. We were in the part were they were showing how they built the stake center. The song was "I am getting married in the morning" with different word, of course. So we are suppost to look like it is the 50's. In the finale, the kids all had flash lights that they were suppost to shine up on the celing. Greg kept rubbing on my face during the finale, and so he got this red lip stick they put one me all over his eye. Then when we were all done the kids came home and played night games outside with their flashlights.

Disneyland for the grown ups

Chris took 2 weeks of leave before he has to go out on the boat again. We took a weekend for the grown ups and went to disneyland and california adventure. The kids have been the last 2 years, so now it was our turn. We had a lot of fun, and it was a nice break from the kidos. Chris is off to Utah now, and is talking to recruiters and hoping to get a job. Things have changed, and if all works out as he hopes, he wants to apply to get out of the navy early. When he gets home from cruise. He hopes to come back in October, and get out in November. He has a new comanding officer, and he is not going to make him go to Japan, which we are very happy about. Chris has been pretty stressed about it all, but things seem to be going better, so cross your fingers for us.

Spring Break/ Easter

Dad came and we went to the aquarium and we went to my sisters for Easter. We did a lot of spring cleaning, but we did manage to go out and have some fun the last couple of day of spring Break. Hope everyone had a good one too.

John's Derby Race.

John made a Joker car this year and won second place. Way to go, John! I also included a video of one of the races. so you could see what they look like. John's car is in there if you can spot it. It is purple and green, and has a joker sticker on the front. Oh, and a video of John when he won a race. You can only see him for a second, but it is too good.

Things have been a little crazy for us around here, since I have been working more, but I wanted to give everyone an update on Chirs, for those who don't know. He is on the boat right now for a work up. It was suppost to be for two weeks, but got extended to three. He will be back for about a month and a half and then will be off for a four month cruise. He hopes to be back sooner than last time, but we will see. They are now talking about making him go to Japan, when he gets back, until his enlistment is over. They wont send us all down there, so it would just be him for about 9 months or so. We will see what happens, but we are all a little sad. Doesn't give us much time together in the next year. He hopes to come down to Utah in the next month and a half to talk to a recrutier, since this may be the only oppurtunity he will have to do that. Hope all is well with everyone, especially the ones that will be having babies soon.

Going to Cousin Becca's Wild Birthday Party

We went to their cousin Becca 7th birthday party today at a place called wild kingdom. It had a jungle theme (I am sure you can tell that by the pictures) and had a hole bunch of jumpers. The kids had a lot of fun. Greg was obsessed with that car, and would of still been there, if that were possible. They also had some party games, and I was able to take a movie of them doing the limbo. If you keep on eye on Haley, she always goes to do it, and then back out at the last minute. She really just didn't think her body was suppost to, or capable of doing that.

Sliding through life........and loving it!

The kids had some much fun on this slide. Some of the kids were going down it backwards, and Haley was going to try it, but keep backing out at the last minute. when she finally did try it, she loved it, and was so proud of herself. You can totally see that in the video. She loved it so much that she had to have mom try it too. John tried rolling down, which I think made him a little dizzy. John got Student of the month!

John was awarded student of the month on friday, and we are so proud of him. Way to go John!! I have been working a lot, so unfortunately I was unable to go, but Grandma came and cheered John on and took some pics for us. She also bought John some balloons. John also got a batmitten set and a new bat (soft one). This all was a last minute thing, so we were up late the night before so I could run him to the store and get it for him. I love that I am working more, but this is definately the hardest part about it for me. I really wish I could of been there. Dad is gone on the boat for two weeks, but when he gets back he will take John and Ben to the nickle arcade for both getting student of the month. We love you John, and way to go!
